Testimonials

To the Staff and Volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House On behalf of my family we wanted to thank you for all of the hard working and congenial help we received during our stay.  Keep up the good work.KN
To the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton, Even though my stay at the house was short and sweet I can easily see how much love and care is put into this place.  I just wanted to thank everyone who is involved in the house.  The consideration for other people in a time of need is something we don’t see every day and at such a high standard.  I appreciate all that was done for me and my daughter.  I can’t thank you enough. The expression of compassion and sympathy that was extended to my family during our struggle will not be forgotten.  It was the most difficult time of our young lives and we could not have done it without the help of the Ronald McDonald House.  Our little Casey is now doing very well and getting bigger by the minute.  Thank you so much.RS and JS
Dear Rich, When we went to the Ronald McDonald House we felt like someone opened the doors to a new world to us.  The house is so spacious and beautiful and everyone was very helpful and caring.  Thank you for being a comfort and a blessing to so many.BL
Who could believe it has been a year already since our little twin peanuts were in the NICU.  We are doing very, very well and wanted to say how much we appreciated the hospitality of the Ronald McDonald House.  You guys will always be dear to us because of your beautiful home and even bigger hearts.LY

Founded in 1986, The Ronald McDonald House of Scranton serves the families of children who are hospitalized here in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Distracted and amused by television, games books, a relaxing back porch and a cozy playroom overflowing with toys, guests enjoy a safe quiet place to recover from the day’s emotional trials.

A beautiful newly renovated building with a new addition, nestled in the charming Hill-Section of Scranton, the house has and elevator, six second-floor bedrooms of various sizes, and two handicapped accessible bedrooms, on the first floor. Each bedroom has wirelss internet access, an individual telephone line and long-distance calling cards are provided compliments of our wonderful donors.
